Small job for someone w excavator /digger (GREENVILLE, RI)

I need a small trench dug in front of driveway to plant a small tree and some ornamental shrubs .
I thought a trench would be easier to dig than several holes for plants.
The length of the area is about 30' and tapers at ends , so trench would be smaller.
Width about 4'.
Depth about 3-31/2 ft.
to accomodate shrubs and one small tree.
The soil is packed sand w few small stones ( area was under asphalt that was completely removed).
Reasonable price, please.
